Maryelizabeth Aguado
With over five years of experience in clinical mental health care, I help individuals and families work through emotional challenges, substance use, and relational stress with clarity and confidence. I specialize in supporting children, adolescents, and families, and have worked in a wide range of settings—including schools, private practice and intensive outpatient services. I hold a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lewis University, where I completed advanced training in child, adolescent, and substance use counseling. I also earned a Master of Science in Psychology from the University of Chester in England. This diverse academic background—and earlier work in legal and medical environments—shapes a holistic, informed perspective I bring into therapy every day. In my work, I draw from evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and trauma-informed family systems therapy.
